Uses official UK tax rates for 2026/27 to estimate the combined take-home pay from two jobs, with clear Income Tax and National Insurance totals.
Enter both job salaries to calculate
How this two jobs calculator works
Enter the annual gross salary for each job and select the tax year. The calculator estimates Income Tax and National Insurance separately for each job, then combines the totals to show your overall net income.
This is useful for understanding how two pay packets add up, and how combined deductions affect your total take-home pay across the year.
What's included in the calculation
The calculator includes Income Tax and Class 1 National Insurance using the official UK thresholds for the selected tax year. Each job is treated independently, which mirrors how NI is typically assessed.
It does not model tax code splits, BR/D0 codes, student loan repayments, pension contributions, or salary sacrifice. If you have a second job, your actual tax code may reduce the personal allowance applied there.
Assumptions and rounding rules
Results assume England/Wales/NI tax bands and standard tax codes for both jobs. This can overstate take-home pay when a second job is taxed at a higher rate. All figures are rounded to the nearest penny and displayed as rounded currency values.
For a more accurate view, compare with your payslips or use the Take-Home Pay calculator with your specific tax code and region.
Worked examples
Example 1: Job 1 at £22,000 and Job 2 at £8,000 produces a combined gross of £30,000 and an estimated net pay around £27,360 per year, with total deductions about £2,640.
Example 2: Job 1 at £30,000 and Job 2 at £15,000 produces a combined gross of £45,000 and net pay around £39,439 per year, with total deductions about £5,561.
Example 3: Job 1 at £18,000 and Job 2 at £12,000 gives a combined gross of £30,000 and net pay around £28,480 per year.
