Credit Health Checker

How healthy is your credit? Free UK estimate

Answer nine quick questions about your payments, credit use, history and stability, plus an optional affordability check. You'll get a 0 to 100 Credit Health Rating, a breakdown of what is helping and hurting, and the changes most likely to make a difference. Takes about 2 minutes, needs no account and never touches your credit file.

Important

This is an indicative estimate for educational purposes only, based solely on your own answers. It is not your credit score, it is not a credit check, and it is not financial advice. We do not access your credit file, and lenders use their own criteria. You can get your statutory credit report free from Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.

How the Credit Health Rating works

Each answer earns points within six factors that the UK credit reference agencies say matter most. The factors are weighted and added up to a score out of 100. A default or County Court Judgment (CCJ) in the last two years caps the rating at Fair, and an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA), Debt Relief Order (DRO) or bankruptcy caps it at Poor, because those records outweigh everything else for lenders.

What this checker can and cannot tell you

It shows which habits are likely to be helping or hurting how lenders see you, and where a change would make the biggest difference. Because it never reads your credit file, it cannot spot errors, fraud, old addresses or accounts you have forgotten about. Only your statutory report can do that.

Lenders also run their own scoring, combining your file with what you tell them on the application, such as income and outgoings. Two lenders can reach different decisions on the same person, so no rating, ours or an agency's, guarantees approval.
